Job summary

Intel in Hillsboro, Oregon seeks an experienced engineer to define and execute silicon power and thermal validation across Intel products. You will develop validation methodologies, analyze workloads, and characterize performance across voltage and temperature conditions.

You will drive thermal optimization, validate thermal solutions, and collaborate with architecture, design, verification, and platform teams to improve product quality, reliability, and efficiency for next‑generation computing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field plus relevant experience.
• 6+ years in silicon power and thermal validation with degree; 4+ years with a Master; 2+ with PhD.
• 3+ years post-silicon validation and debug of CPU/SoC/server-class products.
• 3+ years thermal characterization, data collection, and workload-based analysis.
• Experience developing or maintaining validation tools and scripts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute power and thermal validation plans.
• Perform silicon characterization across voltage, process, and temperature corners.
• Drive power/thermal optimization via workload analysis.
• Validate thermal solutions and management features.
• Conduct root cause analysis and design experiments for thermal issues.
• Develop validation methodologies and infrastructure and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
