Job summary

Intel is seeking an SoC Power Thermal Performance Validation and Optimization Engineer to drive validation of power, thermal, and performance at the SoC level within the DCG. You will develop validation methodologies, collaborate across architecture, design, firmware, and software teams, and address complex power/performance challenges to ensure market-leading products.

You will configure data loggers, build validation infra, and generate reports, contributing to ongoing process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years in SoC power and performance validation.
• 3+ years in Pre-Si simulation and emulation.
• 3+ years in developing/optimizing power/performance KPIs.
• 2+ years with RTL, in-circuit emulation, or FPGA fast prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SoC-level power, thermal, and performance validation and optimization plans across Intel products.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, firmware, and software teams to meet targets and specs.
• Establish and execute methodologies for validating hardware/software optimizations.
• Perform SoC-level debug to identify root causes and resolve power/thermal/performance failures.
• Configure and set up data loggers to collect and analyze thermal data.
• Develop and maintain validation infrastructure, including performance monitors and testing environments.
• Produce comprehensive validation reports summarizing activities and results.
• Drive continuous improvements to validation strategies, methodologies, and processes.
