Job summary

Fresh Consulting is seeking a Silicon Physical Design Engineer V on a remote, contract basis. You will set up and optimize power analysis flows, correlate RTL and gate-level power, and deliver per-block power breakdowns while identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.

The role requires 10+ years in ASIC/physical design, strong scripting skills, and experience with Synopsys/Cadence toolchains. Remote work with PST hours; compensation ranges from $75 to $115 per hour.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in ASIC power, CAD, or physical design.
• Experience with power estimation tools and synthesis.
• Strong scripting and data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of power trade-offs in back-end design.

Responsibilities

• Set up PPRTL/PTPX power flows and analyze power.
• Generate inputs from RTL and gate-level sims; handle long-waveform analyses.
• Correlate RTL vs gate-level power and explain deltas.
• Produce per-block/hierarchy power breakdowns and identify top contributors.
• Automate flows using TCL, Python; integrate into CI.
• Document methodology and support design teams.
