Job summary

GLOBALFOUNDRIES is seeking a Principal TD Device Engineer to improve silicon photonic device performance and manufacturability. You will perform data mining and analysis, and design and coordinate electro/optical test.

The role requires deep expertise in silicon photonics and related simulation tools. The position involves ownership of a technology module, prioritizing projects by business need, and leading a team for improvement experiments and hardware disposition.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Improve performance and manufacturability; data mining and analysis.
• Lead design of experiments and hardware disposition.
• Sustain and improve manufacturing technologies; reduce defects and increase efficiency.
• Detect line issues through data analysis and drive containment and resolution.
• Collaborate with device and process modules to drive development for new production technologies.
• Travel up to 10% domestically.
