Job summary

Nexthop AI is seeking an experienced Senior Signal Integrity Engineer to own the high-speed channel design for next-generation switch platforms. You will set targets, drive stackup decisions with fab partners, and lead SI methodology across the team.

Responsibilities include end-to-end SI ownership for links at 224G PAM4 and beyond, correlating simulations with measurements, and mentoring junior engineers while collaborating with ASIC, connector, and package vendors.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (BS with equivalent depth considered).
• Proven track record owning SI for complex boards through to production (high pin-count ASIC designs).
• Deep expertise in 3D EM simulation and extraction (HFSS, SIwave, Sigrity, ADS).
• Experience with link budgeting and compliance for high-speed Ethernet (IEEE 802.3ck/802.3dj).
• Strong Python skills for automation and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own signal integrity end to end for one or more switch platforms.
• Set high-speed channel targets and loss budgets for 224G PAM4 per lane and beyond.
• Drive interconnect and stackup decisions with fab partners.
• Lead correlation between simulation, coupon data, and system measurements.
