Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Senior Signal Integrity Engineer in Nashua, NH. You will design, simulate, and characterize high-speed connectors and interconnects, and support new product introductions across diverse applications.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, apply SI theory to PCB layouts, and help customers meet demanding data transmission requirements with robust SI solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering; MS/PhD preferred.
• 5+ years of industry experience with electromagnetic principles for digital signal integrity.
• Experience with high-speed connectors into communications equipment is a plus.
• Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR, VNA, pattern generators, and similar equipment.
• Experience with HFSS, CST, HSPICE, MATLAB, and ADS for SI analysis.
• Hands-on experience with frequency- and time-domain characterization and test/calibration methods.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulation, characterization, and application of high speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnects.
• Component development and customer support on new product introduction.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in developing next generation high speed I/O interconnect products.
• Share knowledge and pursue continuous improvement in methods and workflows.
• Assist with providing solutions to customers across sectors for high speed data transmission needs.
• Identify and resolve signal integrity issues in PCB layout.
• Design, build, and measure circuit boards for measurement and verification of products.
• Apply circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission and PCB layout principles for high-speed design.
