Job summary

Vigor Marine Group is seeking a Project Manager in Seattle to own project profits and losses, interfacing with customers throughout the lifecycle. You will guide labor and material applications to meet or beat bid targets, ensuring timely, high-quality results.

You will coordinate with the Contracting & Estimating Department, prepare documentation for change orders, and supervise a team across multiple ships and sites, driving profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of project management experience.
• Advanced degree in a ship repair-related technical discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, estimates, negotiates, staffs, directs the work, and reconciles final billings on assigned projects.
• Meets or exceeds customers' expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Resolves issues with customers, owners, port authorities, and other parties.
• Provides documentation for bill settlement and change orders.
• Interprets specifications and coordinates project sequencing to prevent delays.
• Writes timely documentation and contributes to final specifications.
• Manages production activities and staffing for projects.
• Maintains relationships with customers, craft workers and contract admins.
• Leads post-mortem reviews and captures lessons learned.
