Job summary

Dometic in Port St. Lucie, FL is hiring a Shipping & Customer Service Supervisor to lead the Shipping and Customer Service team. You will oversee order entry, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring high accuracy and on-time delivery while upholding company policies.

You will supervise clerks, manage customer accounts, monitor payment history, and coordinate with planning to meet customer needs. The role requires supervision experience and strong communication within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in business or related field preferred
Excellent customer management skills and experience
3-5 years related experience & certification in shipping and customer service in manufacturing environment
Preferably one year of supervisory experience
Proficient with Incoterms (International Commercial Terms)
Ability to perform basic math skills and measurements
Proficient using MS Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to lead or participate in Continuous Improvement projects
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
Must be able to read and write English

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of Customer Service / Shipping Department
Supervise Shipping Clerks and Customer Service/Data Entry direct reports
Meet or exceed company standards for productivity for order entry, order picking, packing and shipping, maintain high order fill rates, on time delivery, and accuracy
Guarantee Total Customer Satisfaction
Prompt order entry from customers into ERP System maintaining high order accuracy
Set up new customer accounts and process credit card payments
Monitor customer payment history and flag poor accounts
Answer customer requests and communicate with customers on the status of orders
Validate orders are pulled and packed to customer specifications
Determine priority of orders to be picked and shipped
Communication with Planning on potential shortages and customer needs
Work with shipping companies to get best rates: Negotiating all third-party logistics contracts for parcel, LTL, and International inbound/outbound shipments.
Ensure orders are shipped to appropriate destinations in a cost-effective manner that meets customer needs
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of product, process or quality system nonconformance
Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality system
Strive to develop and implement continuous improvement into all products, processes or quality systems
Maintain equipment in department by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, scheduling preventative maintenance and calling for repairs
Responsible for NAFTA reporting
Secures warehouse by maintaining proper controls, checks and procedures
Manage safety programs for Shipping functions in accordance with Safety and OSHA regulations
Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area using the principles of 5S
Maintains storage areas by organizing floor space, adhering to storage design principles and recommending improvements
Perform other duties as assigned
