Job summary

Qualifications

• Safety and associate oriented.
• High School Diploma / Equivalent.
• Knowledgeable of a manufacturing/production environment; ideally previous supervisory experience.
• Ability to motivate and supervise associates as necessary to get the daily tasks completed in an effective and efficient manner; must also help maintain a positive working environment within the shift.
• Organized, self-starter.
• Able to manage variable workflow, set priorities, and delegate effectively.
• Familiar with Windows, Excel and other computer related programs- PFG Genesis computer (AS400 based) a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift to drive manufacturing results through coaching and disciplinary action.
• Manage attendance and timekeeping system.
• Maintain shift team by selecting, orienting, and training associates; conduct shift meetings.
• Complete performance reviews and development plans for associates.
• Plan production schedules and assign personnel; monitor progress; revise schedules.
• Maintain ISO compliance and quality standards; address quality issues promptly.
• Identify as Point Person for R&D, customer, supplier, and quality issues.
• Ensure operation of equipment; evaluate new equipment and techniques; prioritize safety and quality over production.
• Provide production data and reports; respond to requests.
• Create and revise systems and procedures to improve operations; drive cost reductions.
