Gulfstream Goodwill Industries in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a weekend and as-needed shelter supervisor to oversee staff, coordinate shifts, and ensure participant safety under Housing First and trauma‑informed practices.

You will document incident reports, support training, and act as site lead during assigned shifts with a focus on calm crisis response and compliant operations to maintain a safe shelter environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in shelter, residential, human services, crisis response, or homelessness services.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Commitment to Housing First, trauma-informed care, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shelter staff on weekend/holiday/evening/as‑needed shifts and ensure duties are completed.
• Ensure shifts are covered; manage call-outs, schedule changes, and staffing concerns.
• Support a warm, trauma‑informed shelter environment and guest engagement.
• Monitor compliance with policies, safety protocols, and reporting requirements.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with leadership, law enforcement, EMS, or facilities as needed.
• Complete incident reports, shift logs, guest notes, and required reports timely.
• Conduct regular walk‑throughs and report urgent maintenance needs.
• Provide coaching and escalate issues to the Senior Director as needed.
• Support staff orientation, required training, and safety readiness.
• Communicate end‑of‑shift updates to leadership and perform other duties as assigned.
