Gulfstream Goodwill Industries in Florida seeks a Weekend Shelter Supervisor to oversee staff, ensure safety, and uphold Housing First principles. This role focuses on incident response, documentation, and maintaining a welcoming, low-barrier environment for participants and guests.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Business, Education, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in shelter, residential, human services, crisis response, or homelessness services; prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide active supervision and support to shelter staff on weekend, holiday, evening, and as-needed shifts.
• Ensure shifts are adequately covered; address call-outs and staffing concerns; notify leadership of unresolved issues.
• Maintain a warm shelter environment grounded in Housing First and trauma-informed care with respectful guest engagement.
• Monitor staff performance and shelter activity for policy and safety compliance; ensure timely documentation.
• Respond to incidents and safety concerns; coordinate with leadership, law enforcement, EMS, crisis response, or facilities as needed.
• Complete incident reports, shift logs, guest notes; review for completeness before shift close.
• Conduct regular shelter walk-throughs; report urgent facilities or maintenance needs.
• Provide coaching and feedback; elevate issues to Senior Director for follow-up.
