The MIL Corporation seeks a skilled Sheet Metal Technician IV at NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field, Maryland. The role supports engineering, prototyping, fabrication, and production, fabricating and maintaining sheet-metal assemblies for DoD and Naval Aviation programs.

Onsite schedule with potential compressed work schedule, and travel within Southern Maryland may be required. The successful candidate will plan from blueprints and drawings, operate fabrication equipment, and ensure dimensional

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in sheet-metal fabrication, installation, maintenance, or manufacturing at journeyman level.
• Ability to plan from blueprints, drawings, sketches, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency operating sheet-metal fabrication equipment and hand/power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined or elevated areas.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day guidance, direction, training, mentorship, and technical support to less experienced technicians.
• Plan, layout, fabricate, modify, install, and repair sheet-metal components from drawings and specifications.
• Fabricate and repair machine guards, shelves, tanks, ducts, and other sheet-metal products.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment including press brakes, shears, rollers, punches, and laser/waterjet systems.
• Perform cutting, bending, forming, fitting, fastening, and assembly with tools and measuring instruments.
• Coordinate with engineers, machinists, welders, inspectors, and program personnel to meet requirements.
