Job summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker II to support engineering, prototyping, fabrication, maintenance, and production operations at NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field in St. Inigoes, Maryland.

You will fabricate, modify, install, repair, and maintain sheet-metal assemblies and related systems for DoD and Naval Aviation programs. Candidates must have journeyman-level fabrication knowledge, blueprint interpretation skills, and the ability to work with a variety of fabrication

Qualifications

• Three or more years of hands-on sheet-metal fabrication and installation work.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and technical docs.
• Experience operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, rollers, punches, drills, laser cutters, or waterjets.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, fabricate, modify, install, and repair sheet-metal components per drawings.
• Fabricate and repair guards, pans, shelves, lockers, tanks, ducts, brackets, channels, and similar items.
• Operate and maintain sheet-metal fabrication equipment (press brakes, shears, rollers, punches, drills, lasers, waterjets).
• Perform cutting, bending, forming, shaping, fitting, fastening, and assembly with hand/power tools and measuring devices.
• Support prototype, developmental, and production hardware for government customers.
• Interpret orders and documents to determine fabrication requirements and inspect conformance to drawings.
