Job summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a skilled Sheet Metal Technician III to support engineering, prototyping, fabrication, maintenance, and production at NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field in Saint Inigoes, MD. You will fabricate, modify, install, repair, and maintain sheet-metal assemblies for DoD and Naval programs.

You will independently plan and execute sheet-metal work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications, applying journeyman-level fabrication techniques and safety standards while supporting

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years hands-on sheet-metal fabrication, installation, or manufacturing experience at journeyman level.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficiency operating sheet-metal fabrication equipment and hand/power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined or elevated areas.
• U.S. Citizenship and valid driver's license; ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, fabricate, modify, install, and repair sheet-metal components from drawings and specs.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment (press brakes, lasers, waterjets, etc.).
• Interpret work orders and determine fabrication requirements.
• Conduct dimensional inspections and verify conformance to drawings and tolerances.
• Mentor and guide junior fabrication personnel; assist with surge projects.
