Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior M365 SharePoint Engineer in Detroit to lead on‑premises to cloud migrations, design modern SharePoint Online intranets, and modernize legacy patterns to Power Platform. You’ll partner with EY teams and clients to deliver secure, scalable solutions across Microsoft 365 stack.

You will guide discovery, design, build, testing, migration execution, and post‑migration stabilization, with deep experience in SharePoint Server/Online and Entra ID, Teams, and OneDrive, contributing

Qualifications

3+ years of consulting experience delivering SharePoint solutions and/or migrations using Microsoft technologies.
Hands-on experience with SharePoint Server (2013/2016/2019) and SharePoint Online administration and configuration.
Experience planning and executing SharePoint migrations (assessment, waves, pilots, remediation, cutover, and hypercare).
Experience with migration tools such as Migration Manager, ShareGate, AvePoint, Quest or similar.
Experience implementing modern SharePoint Online intranets (IA, hubs, navigation, search, metadata, and permissions).
Working knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate) for forms/workflow modernization.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to lead workshops and present to technical and executive audiences.
Experience delivering in regulated or security-conscious environments with identity, governance, and compliance considerations.

Responsibilities

Assess & plan migrations: run discovery/inventory, define scope and waves, estimate effort, establish cutover and hypercare plans.
Design the target intranet: IA, hub/site strategy, navigation, search, metadata, permissions.
Execute migrations: configure tooling, manage pilots, remediate issues, drive cutovers.
Modernize solutions: map legacy workflows to Power Automate/Power Apps patterns.
Enable operations & governance: standards, provisioning, lifecycle controls, reporting.
Lead stakeholders: run workshops, produce client-ready deliverables, communicate risks clearly.
