Job summary

SMX in Fort Meade, MD is seeking a Senior SharePoint Developer to architect, deploy, and maintain custom SharePoint environments supporting Knowledge Management, the Analyst Production Toolkit, CAP, and PRESS Business Analytics.

You will migrate legacy workflows to Power Automate/Power Apps, implement granular access controls and DIA-compliant governance, and produce UI/UX standards, technical documentation, and SOPs for site owners and end users.

Qualifications

• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility (must submit if requested).
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Knowledge Management, or related discipline.
• 4–6 years of specialized experience in SharePoint ecosystems (SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power Platform).
• At least 2 years focused on enterprise content management and taxonomy design.
• Proficiency in SPFx for building custom client-side web parts and application customizers.
• Advanced command of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) for complex workflow automation.
• Strong web tech background: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript; SharePoint REST APIs / Graph API.
• Experience querying Jira, Git, ServiceNow APIs to extract operational metrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SharePoint sites for Knowledge Management, Analyst Production Toolkit, CAP, and PRESS Analytics.
• Architect, deploy, and maintain custom SharePoint environments across domains.
• Migrate legacy workflows to Power Automate / Power Apps solutions.
• Structure lists, libraries, and taxonomy for data feeding PRESS dashboards.
• Implement granular access controls and AD integration to protect repositories.
• Apply DoD and DIA governance, information management, and compliance standards.
• Produce UI/UX design standards, documentation, and SOPs for site owners and end users.
