Job summary

The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) is seeking a Senior Services Supervisor in Silver Spring, MD to lead a team delivering support to older adults within Resident Services. You will supervise nine Senior Services Specialists and three Senior Nutrition Aides, ensuring programs are delivered effectively and with high quality.

Qualifications

• At least seven (7) years of substantial experience in Social Work or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise nine (9) Senior Services Specialists and three (3) Senior Nutrition Aides.
• Oversee staff’s day-to-day efforts and analyze staff performance to meet division standards.
• Provide guidance, encouragement, and tools for staff to excel in their roles.
• Conduct site visits to meet with staff and observe performance.
• Support staff with integrating best practices for assisting older adults.
• Perform administrative duties such as timecard approvals and evaluations.
