Job summary

Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) is seeking a Senior Services Supervisor (Internal Applicants Only) for the Resident Services team in Silver Spring, MD.

This full-time hybrid role reports to the Housing Stability Manager and includes supervising nine Senior Services Specialists and three Senior Nutrition Aides, with remote work available two days per week after a 6-month probation.

Qualifications

• At least seven (7) years of substantial experience in Social Work, Social Services, Human Services, or related field with supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology or related field.
• Internal applicants only for this posting.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise nine Senior Services Specialists and three Senior Nutrition Aides.
• Oversee staff’s day-to-day efforts and performance to meet division standards.
• Provide guidance, encouragement, and tools for staff to excel in their roles.
• Conduct site visits to meet staff and observe performance.
• Support staff with best practices for serving older adults.
• Perform administrative duties such as timecard approvals and evaluations.
