Job summary

Housing Opportunities Commission (HOC) in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a Housing Stability Manager for the Resident Services division. This hybrid, internal-only posting leads the Community Engagement team and directs Senior Services, Disability Services, and Housing Stabilization programs.

The role reports to the Vice President of Resident Services and requires a strong leadership background. The position emphasizes program oversight, partnership development, budgeting, and performance management

Qualifications

At least ten years of substantial experience in Social Work, Social Services, Human Services, or a related field.
At least five years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology or a related field.

Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership, management and strategic direction to the Community Engagement team; oversee day-to-day operations of the unit; supervise: Senior Services Supervisor, Disabilities Coordinator, Customer Resource Specialists, and Housing Stabilization Specialists.
Co-develop program guidelines, procedures, and policies for staff.
Coach and mentor team members to grow their skills and ensure ongoing training.
Represent HOC at meetings, events and partner engagements.
