Job summary

The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) seeks a Community Engagement Supervisor in Silver Spring, MD to lead a team of nine Community Engagement Specialists and four Community Aides. Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in Social Work or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise nine Community Engagement Specialists and four Community Aides.
• Oversee day-to-day staff efforts and regularly analyze performance to meet division standards.
• Provide guidance, encouragement, and tools for staff to excel in their roles.
• Conduct site visits to meet staff and observe performance.
• Support staff with integrating Cradle-to-Career and Whole Family Approach in daily work.
• Perform administrative duties including timecards and performance evaluations.
