Job summary

Bowhead is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Platform Administrator/Technical Implementation Lead to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division's Enterprise Application Development Team. This senior technical position provides expert ServiceNow platform administration, architecture, engineering, and implementation support for enterprise applications serving the Navy's mission.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum of five years of hands-on experience administering, engineering, or architecting ServiceNow enterprise environments.
Experience supporting ServiceNow platform upgrades, instance cloning, configuration management, and production operations.
Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM, HAM, SAM, and ITOM capabilities.
Experience developing or supporting enterprise integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and SSO technologies.
Knowledge of ServiceNow security administration, ACLs, roles, permissions, and platform governance.
Experience troubleshooting complex platform performance, integration, and operational issues.
Ability to work independently and provide senior-level technical guidance to development and operations teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet applicable DoD 8140/8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II requirements.
Ability to obtain and maintain the required Department of Defense security clearance.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain ServiceNow DEV, QA, and PROD environments ensuring availability, security, performance, and stability.
Manage configurations, ACLs, roles, groups, delegated administration, and security settings.
Plan, coordinate, and execute platform upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
Perform scheduled production instance cloning into development and testing environments with safeguards and post-clone validation.
Provide technical leadership for ServiceNow implementations, enhancements, and new module deployments.
Support configuration, integration, and optimization of ITSM, HAM, SAM, and ITOM capabilities.
Develop and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, SSO, SAML/OAuth, and other enterprise integration technologies.
Monitor and troubleshoot platform performance, logs, slow queries, and indexing issues.
Ensure architecture aligns with ServiceNow best practices, CSDM standards, and DoD requirements.
Lead technical implementations of emergent/priority requirements outside normal workflows.
Collaborate with government leads, developers, cybersecurity personnel, and other stakeholders to identify improvements.
Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, SOPs, and platform governance.
Support production maintenance outside normal hours when required.
