Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join CMS support. The role focuses on designing and building innovative ServiceNow solutions, ensuring reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet CMS business needs.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of SDLC experience, expert ServiceNow development skills, and proficiency with integrations (REST/SOAP) and AI tooling within ServiceNow. Remote work is supported.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full lifecycle software development experience with strong JavaScript.
• Proven developer experience outside ServiceNow platform with strong problem solving.
• Expertise in advanced ServiceNow development: Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, UI Pages.
• Experience with Workflows, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Reporting, Database Views, and PA.
• Experience with AI tools in ServiceNow (NowAssist, AI Search, etc.).
• Experience designing and troubleshooting integrations between ServiceNow and external systems (REST, SOAP, OAuth).
• Hands-on Now Assist configuration for ITSM/HRSD/CSM/Creator; Agile/Scrum experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow apps with best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy solutions.
• Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using APIs.
• Utilize AI developer tools to accelerate JavaScript and ServiceNow scripts.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge.
• Troubleshoot and ensure system reliability through testing and design.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for apps and APIs.
• Stay updated on ServiceNow trends and implement improvements.
