Job summary

Aurex is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer in Chantilly, VA to design, develop, and implement complex solutions across the ServiceNow platform. You will serve as a technical SME, translating requirements into scalable workflows, integrations, and applications within an Agile environment.

The role also involves mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and guiding architectural decisions to maintain platform health, security, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5–10 years of hands-on ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration.
• Advanced proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and ServiceNow scripting APIs.
• Strong experience designing and managing REST and SOAP API integrations.
• Experience across ServiceNow applications and modules.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based delivery.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
• Ability to mentor juniors and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM).
• Develop advanced ServiceNow solutions using JavaScript, GlideRecord, GlideSystem, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Script Includes.
• Develop and enhance Service Portals using HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and Bootstrap.
• Translate business concepts into scalable technical designs and implementation plans.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize performance.
• Architect and implement secure integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML.
• Maintain data integrity and mappings across integrations while optimizing performance.
• Mentor junior developers and administrators; establish coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in Change Governance (CCB) and manage deployments with Update Sets and CI/CD.
