Job summary

Empower AI seeks a ServiceNow Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise ITSM applications on the ServiceNow platform. Work within a DoW environment, delivering compliant, tested code and working with a Government back log in an Agile framework.

The role requires a DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I baseline certification, active U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain TS eligibility if needed. Hybrid role in Quantico, VA with remote work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience; Master’s with 8 years or equivalent substitution.
• U.S. Citizen required; active Secret clearance; TS eligibility possible after start.
• 10+ years of software development experience; 5+ years with ServiceNow or equivalent platform.
• Expert proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (server/client), Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Service Catalog, Service Portal, and CMDB.
• Experience integrating ITSM with REST/SOAP APIs, LDAP/AD, and event/monitoring sources.
• Experience delivering in Agile with sprint demos, UAT, stakeholder acceptance, and platform-owner deployment model.
• Must have DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, etc.).
• Experience leading/mentoring developers and producing technical design docs.
• Strong communication skills with government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain custom ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows.
• Implement enterprise ticket lifecycle workflows across incident and request management.
• Develop and maintain a user-friendly Service Catalog and CMDB data quality rules.
• Lead sprint planning, estimation, QA, and stakeholder acceptance demonstrations.
• Adhere to secure coding standards and Federal security guidelines; deliver compliant update sets.
• Collaborate on Service Portal, Virtual Agent, dashboards, and CX improvements.
• Mentor journeyman developers and maintain technical design documents.
