Description
- The Senior ServiceNow Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining applications on the ServiceNow platform.
- Work with stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Use best practices and agile methodologies for high-quality code and documentation.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow applications and modules.
- Configure and enhance ServiceNow components, such as workflows, UI, scripts, catalogs, integrations, and orchestration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and validate requirements, providing solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Troubleshoot issues related to performance, functionality, and security; implement preventive measures.
- Mentor junior developers and support staff; conduct code reviews and quality checks.
- Stay updated on ServiceNow platform features and incorporate them into solutions.
- Document processes and maintain configuration management and version control.
- Support design, planning, and implementation across the platform.
- Advise on using out-of-box functionality versus customization.
- Provide feedback to stakeholders on solutions.
- Estimate work and break down features, epics, and stories.
- Create demos and prototypes as needed.
- Review existing implementations and recommend improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in application systems/administration or 9 years without a degree.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages used in production.
- Ability to lead problem-solving efforts for mission-critical systems.
Highly Preferred
- ServiceNow CSA and CAD certifications.
- Over 7 years of developing solutions on ServiceNow, including modules like Employee Center.
- Experience with forms, reports, dashboards, catalogs, workflows in ITSM, ITOM, ITAM.
- Scripting experience in Business Rules, UI Pages, etc.
- UI/UX design knowledge.
- Strong skills in JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON.
- Effective communication skills.
- Team player with mentoring willingness.
