Role

Splunk/Cisco IT seeks a dynamic ServiceNow Software Developer with robust ServiceNow experience and development skills. You will collaborate with the ServiceNow Principal Architect and Development Teams, sharing responsibility for the overall ServiceNow solution at Splunk/Cisco. We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in ITSM practices and related SNOW modules.

Responsibilities
  • Provide application ServiceNow development services and technical leadership support.
  • Develop program logic for new applications or modify logic in existing applications.
  • Design, code, test, debug, document, implement, and maintain ServiceNow software applications.
  • Analyze requirements, and maintain, test, and integrate application components.
  • Ensure successful implementation of system improvements.
  • Handle incidents per SLAs, maintain system stability, and address issues impacting SLAs.
  • Implement ServiceNow workflows that integrate with external web services.
  • Design and develop a reusable workflow framework and seek opportunities to improve manual processes.
  • Guide adoption of standard methodologies and influence customer investments in solutions.
  • Define ServiceNow service offerings, align with customer expectations on SLAs and metrics.
  • Contribute to a ServiceNow roadmap aligning system investments with long-term IT and customer goals.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of overall ITSM experience.
  • 4+ years of ServiceNow platform development experience.
  • ServiceNow Certified Systems Administration (CSA) certification.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
  • ITIL V3 Foundation or higher.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX.
  • Experience with React or AngularJS frameworks.
  • Ability to develop web services such as Scripted REST APIs and REST messages.
  • Experience integrating with multiple data sources for CMDB (SOAP, REST, Webhooks, JSON, JDBC, file imports).
  • Experience with software development best practices such as logging, unit testing (ATF), code reviews.
  • Advanced scripting skills with best practices in Script Includes, Business Rules, etc.
  • Experience with upgrades and remediation of skipped updates.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Certified Implementation Specialist in one ServiceNow module (ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, etc.).
  • ServiceNow Service Portal micro-certifications.
  • ITIL V4 Foundation or higher.
