Job summary

GM Defense is seeking a Field Service Representative to be the voice of the customer. You will interface with Vehicle Chief Engineer, Program Teams, and manufacturing plants to coordinate support for the HD SUV and GMO platforms.

Responsibilities include disassembly/reassembly, diagnosing with scan tools, documenting activities, and supporting warranty processes. Up to 90% travel, onsite in Milford/Warren MI, with strict security requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in quality, engineering, manufacturing, product development or field service.
• Willing to travel up to 90% domestically and internationally.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable with ambiguous environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Independent work with data and strong interpersonal skills.
• U.S. Person and eligible for Secret U.S. Security Clearance after hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle disassembly, reassembly and verification of operation.
• Diagnose using scan tools and schematics; determine serviceability.
• Document all activities and support warranty processes.
• Travel to customer locations up to 90% of the time.
• Support development of operator and maintainer training.
