Palmer Trucks is seeking a Service Writer 3 to greet customers, coordinate service scheduling, and manage repair orders. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service and ensuring accurate documentation for labor, warranty, and parts.

You will work with Service Managers and Foremen to prioritize repairs and communicate updates to customers. Responsibilities include contacting vendors, obtaining purchase orders, and staying current on service bulletins and warranty information.

Qualificações

• Basic computer skills and experience with Repair Order Processing Software.

Responsabilidades

• Receives inbound customer calls for service scheduling and requests.
• Greets and assists drivers at the location with their unit.
• Coordinates and tracks status of customer repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen.
• Ensures timely action and settles disputes and warranty issues.
• Ensures all documentation for labor sales (customer, internal, warranty) is complete and executed.
• Maintains repair orders, opened and closed timely.
• Stays informed of service bulletins, recalls, and warranty information.
• Alerts Service Manager to customer complaints for proactive handling.
• Advises customers on needed service work and possible additional labor or parts.
• Contacts vendors and OEMs for product information or authorizations.
• Obtains purchase orders from customers and sublet providers.
• Participates in training on technical and warranty issues.
• Maintains a clean shop and office area.
