Job summary

Destination Kia in Albany, NY is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our busy service department. You will greet customers, document vehicle service needs, and prepare cost estimates while guiding repairs and options to ensure a quality customer experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of dealership service writer experience, a clean driver's license, and familiarity with Dealer Track and the X-Time platform. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a service writer at a dealership.
• Current clean valid driver's license is required.
• Experience working with Dealer Track
• Experience using X-Time platform (video, appointments, MP, Parts)
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems and repair terminology.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Customer-service oriented and detail-focused.

Responsibilities

• Handle telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
• Greet customers warmly and professionally as they arrive in the service department.
• Document vehicle service needs accurately and clearly on repair orders.
• Prepare cost estimates and obtain customer approvals for work to be completed.
• Advise customers on vehicle care and maintenance per manufacturers' specs.
• Keep customers updated throughout the day about progress.
