Job summary

Honda of Stevens Creek, part of the Sonic Automotive family, is seeking a Service Advisor to be a key member of the service team. You will serve as the liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring accurate service documentation and timely repairs.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive service advising, or dealership service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build customer relationships.
• Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance, repair services, and vehicle systems.
• Proficient with computers, dealership management systems, and service scheduling software.
• Excellent organizational skills managing multiple customers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally, listen to their concerns, and accurately document vehicle service needs.
• Explain recommended services and repairs, provide cost estimates, and obtain customer authorization.
• Coordinate workflow to maximize service department efficiency.
• Communicate with technicians to monitor repair progress and ensure timely completion of work.
• Keep customers informed throughout the service process, including repair status, timelines, and delays.
• Prepare and explain repair orders and invoices, process payments, and maintain service records.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and educate them on maintenance services.
