Job summary

Field AI is seeking a Reality Capture & Sensor Payload Engineer to design and integrate sensor modules for robot platforms. You will lead calibration, time sync, and ruggedized enclosures across LiDARs, cameras, GNSS, and other sensors to deliver high-quality data for the Insights team.

You will collaborate with product and mechanical/electrical teams to select sensors, validate results through testing, and mentor junior engineers while helping shape the sensor hardware roadmap.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-sensor integration and sensor fusion concepts.
• Strong knowledge of LiDAR, cameras, GNSS/RTK, and sensor performance evaluation.
• Ability to evaluate sensor solutions and lead cross-disciplinary discussions.

Responsibilities

• Select and evaluate sensors for reality capture and mapping.
• Own calibration, time synchronization, and ruggedized sensor modules.
• Develop data pipelines turning sensor captures into georeferenced outputs.
