Job summary

Brookfield Community School is seeking an Associate Assistant Headteacher SENCO to lead SEND provision across the school, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice. You will oversee EHCPs, coordinate interventions, and lead a SEND team, while safeguarding and supporting whole-school improvement.

You will work closely with parents, carers, staff and external agencies to remove barriers to learning and enable all students to reach their potential in a supportive, inclusive

Qualifications

• EHCP management experience and liaison with external agencies.
• QTS status and NASENCO or willingness to complete.
• Senior leadership experience in SEND and safeguarding knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of SEND legislation and safeguarding frameworks.
• Ability to inspire colleagues and lead change.
• Experience in middle or senior leadership in a school.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEND provision across the school and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Oversee EHCPs, interventions and SEND support plans.
• Direct the SEND team and liaise with parents and external agencies.
• Contribute to whole-school policy development on inclusion and safeguarding.
• Monitor progress for SEND students and contribute to data analysis.
• Support whole-school improvement and staff development.
