Job summary

Stimpson Avenue Primary School is seeking an Assistant Headteacher - Inclusion to provide strategic leadership for SEND and Inclusion, driving high-quality provision and improved outcomes for all pupils. The post focuses on developing inclusive practice, strengthening staff expertise and ensuring that pupils with SEND and EAL receive essential support.

• Experience leading SEND and Inclusion at a primary level.
• Ability to develop inclusive practice and staff development.
• Strong collaboration with parents and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for SEND and Inclusion to align with school priorities.
• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of inclusive practice to improve pupil outcomes.
• Coordinate EHCP processes and annual reviews with the SENDCO.
• Develop staff expertise in meeting diverse needs and promoting high-quality teaching.
• Monitor interventions using assessment and progress data to drive improvements.
• Build partnerships with families, external agencies and professionals for coordinated support.
• Contribute to wider leadership and the school’s strategic development and equality.
