Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role in Epping, NH. The position involves 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes, assisting with communication, emotional regulation and EHCP targets, and supporting personal care where needed.

You will collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to maintain a calm, structured learning environment and encourage pupil independence and social development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups.
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
