Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced SEN school in Epping, New Hampshire. The role is full-time and long-term with an ASAP start, providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.

You will support communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning, following EHCP targets and individual plans, and assist with personal care where needed. DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
