Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is working with a well-resourced SEN school in Epping/Ongar, seeking a patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision for primary and secondary pupils. The role is full-time and long-term with an ASAP start.You will provide 1:1 and small group support, help with communication and emotional regulation, and follow EHCP targets. The school emphasises pupil wellbeing and personalised development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Comfortable working across primary and secondary age groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Help maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encourage independence, confidence and social development.
