Remedy Recruitment Group is partnering with a well-resourced SEN school in Braintree to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. The role covers both primary and secondary pupils, offering 1:1 and small group support in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient
• Experience across primary and secondary age groups
• Support non-verbal or limited communication pupils
• Willing to assist with personal care
• Strong teamwork and proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assist with personal care when required.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encourage independence, confidence and social development.
