Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a well-resourced school in Epping. The role is full-time and long-term, starting ASAP, with opportunities for ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes, aiding communication and social development while following EHCP targets. A calm, patient approach and experience with SEN are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD or complex needs.
• Ability to support both 1:1 and small group work.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Help maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encourage independence, confidence and social development.
