Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer in Austin, TX to drive production test solutions, from hardware and software to test content, across the product lifecycle. You will work closely with Design, DFT, Platform Validation, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure robust, high-quality test solutions that meet performance and cost targets.

You will bring silicon up, characterize, define products, analyze margins, and optimize yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with semiconductor product engineering and production test environments is preferred.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and data-driven problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy production test solutions including hardware, software, and test content.
• Drive silicon bring-up, characterization, product definition, margin analysis, and performance optimization.
• Investigate and resolve silicon, test, yield, and manufacturing issues via root-cause analysis.
• Partner with Design, DFT, Platform Validation, Manufacturing, and Hardware teams for testability and readiness.
• Analyze characterization, yield, and manufacturing data to guide engineering decisions.
• Validate ATE hardware and software, improve yield and mentor junior engineers.
