Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is seeking a Senior Systems Design Engineer in Austin, TX, to drive balanced, scalable, and automated validation solutions for next-generation server and SoC products.

You will contribute to product development, definition, and root cause resolution in a high-visibility role. You’ll debug across bring-up, validation, and production phases, develop validation strategies and test plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure features are validated

Qualifications

• Experience with post-silicon validation, server/system validation, platform validation, or silicon bring-up.
• Ability to develop validation strategies, coverage plans, test plans, and milestone exit criteria for complex server/SoC products.
• Hands-on debugging techniques and methodologies for large-scale systems.
• Knowledge of modern server SOC architecture and board/platform-level debugging.
• Strong scripting and programming skills in C/C++, Python, Perl, or Ruby.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical innovation to improve validation capabilities across tool development and methodology enhancements.
• Debug issues during bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and track test execution to ensure timely feature validation.
• Work closely with other technical teams to drive continuous improvement of validation processes.
• Develop and refine validation strategies and automation to scale server/system validation efforts.
