Job summary

Cisco is seeking a seasoned optics operations product engineering leader to guide a high-performing team in designing and sustaining semiconductor wafer products. You will drive AI-driven process improvements, collaborate with foundries and OSAT partners, and advance DFx strategies from silicon to high-volume manufacturing.

The role requires deep silicon engineering expertise, mentoring skills, and strong cross-functional collaboration across design, test, and reliability teams.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Optical Physics, Photonics, or related field.
• 10+ years in semiconductor industry with technical leadership.
• 5+ years of direct people leadership experience.
• Hands-on mastery of SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, and yield management software (e.g., JMP, Spotfire).
• Experience with semiconductor fabrication, wafer sort/probe, and advanced packaging.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering team to deliver state-of-the-art semiconductor wafer products meeting Cisco quality and performance standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to exceed yield, quality, and cost targets.
• Lead product engineering to drive yield and quality, implement DFx principles, manage from silicon to high volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with design & test teams to establish manufacturing and test strategies, including DFT and test program creation.
• Deliver AI-driven process transformation to improve quality, yield, and cost through test time reduction and root-cause analysis.
• Create and execute AI-powered analytics to streamline product development and failure identification.
• Coach and upskill junior to senior engineers, fostering an AI-driven mindset.
