Job summary

Cisco's Optics Operations Product Engineering team in Maynard, MA seeks a senior Product Engineer leader to guide an engineering team through silicon to high-volume manufacturing, leveraging DFx and AI-driven yield improvements.

You will partner with design, foundry, OSAT, and test teams to drive quality, yield, and cost targets, mentor engineers, and shape strategies for scalable supply chain resilience.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Optical Physics, Photonics, or related field.
• 10+ years semiconductor industry experience as a technical lead, including 5+ years of direct people leadership.
• Expertise in fabrication, wafer sort/probe, and advanced packaging (2.5D/3D, flip-chip, optical interconnect).
• Proven mentoring skills and ability to inspire engineers across career stages.
• Hands-on SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, and yield management software experience.
• Strategic silicon engineering with experience guiding teams through complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering team to deliver state-of-the-art semiconductor wafer products meeting Cisco quality and performance standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (design, foundry, IC packaging, test, reliability) to exceed yield, quality, and costs targets.
• Lead product engineering to drive yield & Quality, implement DFx principles and manage products from initial silicon to high volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with design & test teams to establish manufacturing and test strategies, including DFT and test program creation.
• Deliver AI‑driven process transformation to improve quality, yield, and cost through test time reduction and root-cause analysis.
• Create and execute AI-powered analytics to streamline product development and enhance yield management.
• Coach and upskill junior to senior engineers, fostering an AI‑driven mindset to maximize productivity.
