Job summary

Cisco is seeking a senior Product Engineer in Optics Operations to lead a team delivering advanced semiconductor wafer products and DFM/DFx strategies. You will partner with design, foundry, and OSAT partners to optimize yields and scale manufacturing while mentoring engineers and driving AI‑driven process improvements.

The role requires deep silicon expertise and a track record of leading cross‑functional programs across design, test, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Optical Physics, Photonics, or related engineering fields.
10+ years of semiconductor industry experience as a technical lead, including 5+ years of direct people leadership.
Technical expertise in semiconductor fabrication processes, wafer sort/probe testing, and advanced packaging (2.5D/3D, flip‑chip, optical interconnect).
Proven mentoring skills with ability to inspire and develop engineers across career stages.

Responsibilities

Lead an engineering team to deliver state‑of‑the‑art semiconductor wafer products meeting Cisco quality and performance standards.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to exceed yield, quality, and cost targets.
Lead the product engineering team to drive yield & quality and manage products from silicon to HVM.
