Job summary

Cisco is seeking a senior leader to build and guide a high-performance engineering design team across the US and India for Client Optics Group. The role drives end-to-end transceiver development combining electronics ICs with silicon photonics, emphasizing rapid delivery and first-pass success.

The leader will promote AI-assisted development, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure program milestones are met with quality and speed.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in high-speed electronics with global team management.
• MS or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Experience in mixed-signal electronics: drivers, TIAs, ADCs, DSP, SERDES.
• Experience with optical/photonic ICs; 200/400 Gbps standards.
• Knowledge of power integrity, channel modeling, and test strategies.
• Familiar with silicon validation and co-simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and lead a high-performance engineering design team in the US & India for Cisco’s Client Optics Group (COG).
• Drive end-to-end execution of optical transceiver development for silicon-photonics-based chipsets and modules.
• Oversee design, development, and documentation of electronics ICs and chipsets with focus on speed, quality and velocity.
• Apply analytics and AI/ML to optimize testing, coverage, and debugging; promote AI-assisted development tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful program delivery.
