Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Search Engine Marketing Senior Manager to lead paid search strategy and operations as part of an in-house team. The role focuses on planning, investment, partner management, and evolving the SEM function to drive business outcomes.

The position requires extensive SEM experience, leadership of technical marketing teams, and expertise across major platforms. It is a hybrid role with a strong emphasis on cross‑functional collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• Marketer/agency/consultative services experience in SEM.
• Experience leading a technically advanced team of search marketing professionals.
• Experience with and knowledge of primary buying platforms and formats (Google Ads, Search Ads 360, Skai, Yahoo! / Bing, PLAs, Shopping engines).
• Open to explore new methods of search strategy as consumer behavior adapts.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing SEM functions for multiple units within Verizon.
• Campaign development, bid strategy, optimization and channel management.
• Scaling teams to support the SEM operation.
• Making recommendations and driving decision making with respect to changes to the existing tech stacks.
• Building and managing relationships with all external search partners.
• Overseeing the execution and resources associated with SEM campaigns.
• Knowledge of AI and large language models to develop and deploy an AI strategy that connects consumers to commerce outcomes.
