Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to lead projects for federal and public sector clients. The role emphasizes independent work and team leadership on sediment remediation assignments across diverse sites.

Candidates should have a strong background in remediation design, site assessment, and regulatory programs, with travel up to 10% and a bachelor’s degree plus relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise evaluating sediment remediation technologies and design remediation for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, or port settings.
• Lead and mentor staff; communicate technical strategies to clients and CDM Smith SMEs.
• Support data analysis with statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serve as task manager on complex sediment sites and coordinate with clients and outside consultants.
• Apply CERCLA, GLBA or other regulatory knowledge to sediment site steps and processes.
