Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Scientist or Geologist to join our team. The candidate will lead projects for federal and public sector clients, evaluating remediation technologies and designing sediment cleanup approaches for riverine and coastal settings.

You will manage tasks, communicate complex technical concepts to clients and stakeholders, and guide junior staff. Travel is possible; a Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years in sediment remediation or related field.
• Experience with CERCLA and regulatory programs (e.g., GLLA).
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and design sediment remediation approaches for various settings.
• Lead teams of engineers/scientists on sediment sites and communicate strategy to clients.
• Support quantitative evaluations of environmental data and modeling efforts.
• Serve as technical liaison with clients, the public, and outside consultants.
• Ensure technical documents meet regulatory and policy standards.
