Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 7 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Experience leading teams of engineers/scientists on remediation projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and prepare designs for riverine, coastal, riparian, and port settings.
• Understand principles of sediment transport, environmental site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modelling, dredge approaches, and remedial design/construction.
• Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Act as CDM Smith’s task manager, communicating strategy to clients and coordinating SMEs.
• Demonstrate expertise in CERCLA, GLLA, and other regulatory steps at sediment sites.
• Liaise with clients, public, and outside consultants, explaining complex evaluations to non-experts.
• Lead staff in preparing and reviewing technical documents to ensure regulatory compliance.
