Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7 years of related experience.
• Willing to travel domestically and/or internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Providing expertise in evaluating feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and preparing sediment remediation designs for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, and/or port site settings involving multiple stakeholders.
• Understanding principles of sediment and contaminant transport, environmental site assessment, sampling/monitoring technologies, cap modelling, dredge approaches, remedial action design, and/or remedial action construction.
• Providing support of mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serving as CDM Smith’s task manager on various components of polluted sediment sites, developing and communicating a technical strategy to the client.
• Possessing in-depth expertise in CERCLA, GLLA, and/or other regulatory steps/processes at contaminated sediment sites.
• Serving as a technical liaison with client, public, and outside consultants, communicating complex evaluations to non-subject matter experts.
• Leading staff in preparing/reviewing/scrutinizing technical information to ensure regulatory compliance and technical soundness.
