Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a mid- to senior-level Sediment Remediation Engineer to lead projects and guide a team of engineers and scientists in sediment remediation for Federal and Public sector clients. Strong knowledge of CERCLA and related regulatory steps is preferred.

You will manage technical evaluations, interact with clients and outside consultants, and ensure deliverables meet regulatory standards while advancing site cleanup strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise evaluating sediment remediation technologies and designs for riverine, coastal, riparian/floodplain, and port sites.
• Understand sediment transport, environmental site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modeling, dredge approaches, remedial design and construction.
• Support statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
• Serve as task manager on sediment sites and communicate technical strategy to clients.
• Lead staff in preparing, reviewing, and ensuring technically sound documents compliant with regulations.
